Mel’s Support Squad is a non-profit formed in February 2010 by a group of friends and family when a local resident and Pottsgrove Special Education Teacher was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). We plan various fund-raising endeavors throughout the year for which all proceeds are donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society – Greater Delaware Valley Chapter.
Since 2010, we have participated in both WalkMS and MuckFestMS. We’ve had hundreds of family and friends not only show up in person to walk or muck, but also support us from near and far with words of encouragement and generous donations. We’ve had incredible support from local businesses – many who have supported us since the beginning.
To date our team has raised over $118,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society – Greater Delaware Valley Chapter.
